Precision Health Design: Weight Loss Program (details)
No fitness goal is more challenging than maintaining a healthy body weight.
At PHD, we help you answer…
There are 2 Assessments that are required to develop your individual weight loss program.
The Key To Weight Loss Is Understanding Your Metabolism
RMR is the number of calories your body uses at rest. The release of energy in this state is primarily for the function of vital organs. It is by far the biggest contributor to your daily caloric expenditure. By measuring your RMR you will know how many calories you need to eat to lose, maintain or gain weight.
VO2:
The VO2 assessment is an exercise test that measures both your Volume of Oxygen (VO2) as well as Volume of Carbon Dioxide (CO2). It is a measure of how well you use oxygen to produce energy and how well you use BODY FAT for that energy. For weight loss, the VO2 test does not require a maximal effort and can be done using a treadmill, bike, or a NuStep. By measuring your VO2 and CO2, you will know exactly how hard, or how easy!, you need to work out to lose weight. (more details)
